We are a private practice looking for a professional Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (NP/PA) who can deliver primary medical care or specialty care to a wide variety of patients. The Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (NP/PA) will be responsible for caring for patients, maintaining accurate and current patient records, scheduling follow-up appointments as required. The successful candidate will work as a team with our physician, other nurse practitioners and nurse and will assist in delivering premium care to each and every patient.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate new patient consultation and health history review
  • Perform physical examinations and screenings of patients
  • Order and administer tests including blood work
  • Review and interpret test results
  • Diagnose health problems
  • Detect changes in patient condition
  • Administer medications
  • Operate medical equipment
  • Recommend further treatment options or future appointments if needed
  • Provide referrals to other practitioners when necessary
  • Provide after-care/ongoing care information and resources to patients and their families
  • Ensure patient records are kept up to date including test results, immunizations, condition changes, etc.
  • Consult with other healthcare professionals as needed
  • Deliver quality level care while complying with company policies, safety regulations, and productivity metrics

Your Role with Our Practice

  • Monday-Thursday, 8:00am-5:00pm (closed from 12-1 for lunch) ; Friday 8:00am - 1pm
  • Seeing adult patients, ages 16 and up
  • Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (NP/PA) seeing an average of 12-15 patients per day

Your Qualifications and Skills

  • Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant (NP/PA)
  • Master’s degree in nursing preferred
  • Current state Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (NP/PA) required
  • 5+ years nursing experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge base of HIPAA and OSHA required
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Patient and compassionate nature
  • Ability to operate as part of a team, alongside physicians and other nurses
  • Proficiency in medical instruments and equipment
  • Must be familiar with an EMR medical charting system
  • Proficiency in computer-based data management programs and information's systems preferred
  • Prescriptive authorization required
  • Disease prevention knowledge required
